Entergy`s River Bend Station is located in St. Francisville, Louisiana — roughly 30 miles northwest of Baton Rouge.
The plant draws its cooling water from the nearby Mississippi River and generates around 10% of the state`s total power.
River Bend is the third largest power producer in Louisiana and its boiling water reactor generates enough reliable power for more than 820,000 homes in the region.
