About the Author Pawan Kumar is an Assistant Professor of the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Department, Thapar University, Punjab, India. He is graduated from Kurukshetra University. Received his M.Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology and Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University) New Delhi. He is the certified Energy Manager cum Auditor by BEE a statutory body under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. His main research interests are in the area of optimization techniques in Electrical Distribution Systems Design, Operation and Control, and Energy Efficiency in Power Utilities, Distribution Generation and Computational intelligence. Surjit Singh is currently a faculty member with the Department of Computer Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. He has several years of experience in teaching. He is pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra. He has received B.Tech. degree with Honors in Computer Engg. from Kurukshetra University in 2008, and completed his M.Tech. degree with Distinction. He holds State Rank during his diploma course in engineering. He has authored many publications with reputed publishers including ACM, IET, IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, Pearson and IGI Global. He has authored a Book entitled Computer Systems and Programming in C with publisher Pearson Education and one Book Chapter with IGI Global, USA. Also, he is editing a book Handbook on Power and Energy System Optimization and serving as a EAB member of AETID Book Series, IGI Global USA. He is serving as Guest Editor for the Special Issue of JCIT IGI Global USA. He is also serving as a TPC member for IEEE, Elsevier and other international conferences including SmartTech-2017, IEEE ICIC 2015. He is the member of the IAB of WoS/Scopus indexed journals including, IJICTE, IJWNBT, JCIT. Ikbal Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. Dr. Ali has earned the Ph.D. degree for his research work in the field of Substation Automation, where he investigated the communication requirements for substation automation. Dr. Alis research work has been published in refereed international journals/conferences of repute. He is actively involved in research and development activities in areas of SCADA systems, Power System Automation, Smart Grid, Substation Communication Network, Broadband over Power Line (BPL), IEC61850 based systems, Wide Area Protection, Communication, and Control in Energy Systems, Power and Energy System Applications (generation, transmission, distribution, markets, operations, planning, Energy Management Systems (with applications to building and home automation). Dr. Ali is a senior member in IEEE and an expert lecturer on the topics related to Smart Grid Technologies, Substation Automation Trends and Communication Networks for Substation Automation.
