In Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, household waste is being transformed into green electricity, with even the slag and steam produced during the process being put to good use. The project is a fruit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries` joint efforts to balance economic growth with environmental protection. The SCO is also expanding environmental cooperation and promoting greener awareness through education.
