China`s largest onshore wind power project began operation at full capacity on December 10. The state-owned China General Nuclear Power Corporation project features 701 wind turbine generators and a combined installed capacity of three million kilowatts. Over 10 billion kilowatt-hours can be generated annually, reducing standard coal use by 2.96 million tonnes and carbon dioxide emissions by 8.02 million tonnes.
