Oct 12, 2023 - World largest offshore wind farm is finally sending power to the UK grid

In a monumental stride towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future, the world`s largest offshore wind farm, the Dogger Bank Wind Farm, has successfully begun producing electricity for British homes and businesses. This milestone achievement marks a significant turning point in the offshore wind industry, furthering the transition to renewable energy sources and bolstering the United Kingdom`s energy security and commitment to Net Zero emissions. The Dogger Bank Wind Farm is a colossal offshore wind energy project situated 130 kilometers off the coast of Yorkshire, UK, within UK waters. It is divided into three phases known as Dogger Bank A, B, and C, with a total planned capacity of 3.6 GW. This ambitious project, led by SSE Renewables, in collaboration with Equinor and Vårgrønn, represents a testament to the remarkable potential of offshore wind energy.
