May 9, 2023 - China`s plateau wind power base with largest installed capacity put into operation



The plateau wind power base with the largest installed capacity in China on Monday was put into operation at its full capacity, in southwest China`s Yunnan Province. The project has a total installed capacity of 800 megawatts and an annual on-grid electricity capacity of 2.6 billion kWh. Located in the plateau area with an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, the project includes 135 wind turbines. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.732 million tonnes and sulfur dioxide by 1,171.8 tonnes annually.
