Jul 24, 2023 - A look at the China-built largest hydropower station in Cambodia
The Lower Sesan 2 Hydropower Station is currently Cambodia`s largest clean energy generation project and a key undertaking in the Belt and Road Initiative. This project not only provides a stable and reliable electricity supply for the nation but also contributes to economic growth, and improves the quality of life for locals. Completed in late 2018, the total installed capacity of the hydropower plant is 400MW, contributing to nearly 20 percent of Cambodia`s total power generation.
