We’re celebrating an exciting milestone for CleanCo Queensland with the official opening of the Swanbank Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at our Swanbank Energy Precinct in Ipswich. ⚡
As one of the largest grid-scale batteries in the state, the 250MW/500MWh Swanbank Battery has reached a key commissioning stage and is now able to operate at full output, demonstrating its capability to safely support the electricity network, particularly during periods of peak demand. We`re incredibly proud of the teams behind this project and excited about the role Swanbank BESS will play as it moves through final commissioning and into full commercial operation — another step forward in building a more resilient and dependable energy system for Queensland.
